Patch 3.0.2

In preparation of WotLK, our fine friends at Blizzard are going to implement Patch 3.0.2. Here is a link to the info. Enjoy. And yes, some of the changes will suck.

"Challenging Roar now has a 3 minute cooldown, reduced from 10 minutes. Feral Charge (Feral): Can now be used in Cat form. Feral Swiftness: The movement speed buff can now be used indoors. Mangle (Feral): Now increases the damage done by Maul in addition to Shred. New Talent - Mother Bear (Feral): Increases the bonus attack power for Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by an additional 20/40/60%, and for each friendly player in your party, damage you take is reduced while in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by 1/2/3%." -patch notes

Id if you really want to check all of this out, you could download the PTR and test it out there. It will at least get you ready for the patch.

I may do the same to see how gimped I've become (again) as a shaman, especially since they are now consolidating spell healing and spell damage.

This patch is live in the test realms, but no word (that I saw) on when it will hit us. I'd guess in a few weeks so they have time to fix any bugs before WotLK hits stores.

Is this patch what my comp has been downloading? Or is this what comes with the expansion? I rather eager to charge around as a kitty and chug rage potions as a bear!!

If it's the 3.0.2. than you should be able to join the PTR as soon as you launch WoW. I believe you'll see the button at the bottom. Try clicking that instead of play.

Aww but I'm trained to hit the play now button...this will prove most difficult.

I don't know if the "free talent refund" also goes into play. So if you wanted to try Boomkin or Resto...this might be a cheap way to do it.

Yea, thats actually where I'/ve been for the last two days is the PTR....and let me tell you. Alotta the crap is broken. Namely Shamans and Druids. Druids Flourish heals 15 alliance people who aren't even in your party. And Spirit Link for Shamans seems to multi stack. There is alot more but..I don't even wanna get into it..lets just say that if they release it the way it is....it's gonna be so horrid and glitchy....For one, the Dwarf/Gnome Faces are wrecked.....And the barber Shop is alright...Humans can look like your fav Dragon Ball toons and Gnomes can rock out with Mohawks.

Oh yea, another thing. Priests.......Don't bother rolling a dranei Priest..cause they're making Symbol of Hope, Devouring pLague and a bunch of other stuff just standard priest spells.....If anything, go with Dwarf Priests for Chastise....other then that, it's garbage. UD Priests got shafted as did Dranei. No point in rolling them now. Human/Dwarf Priests ftw!

I am offically pissed at Spell power now. I went from 1900 healing to 900...Thats how bad the nerf was...heads up you healers, the bad man a commith!

and could it be to how healing works? I mean is it really that gimped? I almost want you to respec shadow to see how THAT is.

I'm resurrecting this dead thread because my guess is that the patch is going live if not today, definilty next week or the week after (Blizzcon is this weekend.)

Official word is that the end of the arena season is coming next week, which puts it right after blizzcon this weekend. The speculation on all the popular forums is that the reason they're ending the season now instead of at the end of the month is that the new patch is coming out at the same time and they don't want everybody bitching about broken talents for the last two weeks of the season.

*Sigh*

The patch is due Oct. 14th (most likely). I'm a bear tank, grrr I tank (but not W/o heals or heroics). I've been trying to get people to do heroics for the last few weeks so good luck with that one -_-*

MY room mate just...moments ago, soloed Normal ramparts in Feral form on the PTR....chain pull after chain pull, was sick. Then solo'd the bosses? Yuck. However he's in full T6...loser...

Anywho, this means october 14th were hitting Kara...If my Room mate can clear Kara in 1hour on ptr, we should be able to do it in an hour and a half! zomg!!!!!
