Lots of interesting developments coming in the raiding scene with Catacylsm.

Chronos has long been short on reliable numbers to pull off 25 man raiding without an alliance with another guild. Looks like Blizz is going to stamp out most guild alliances thru various means, such as guild talent trees etc.

However, it looks like 10man teams are going to also become the standard with equal level loot and shared 10/25 lockouts. Chronos can totally put together a 10man team with 10-15 frequent players. This is good for small guilds such as Chronos.

The current news from Blizzard on how raids will be structured doesn't seem to offer much incentive to do 25 man. 10 man will offer the same quality gear with less organizational headache, and shared lockouts mean you cant do both. Unless they come up with some really good carrot to keep doing 25man, you're going to see a lot of guilds re-focus just to 10s. They've said 25man will offer more drops but haven't outright said it's dis-proportionately enough to put up with all the delays trying to herd 25 cats.
