Re: Guild's website
Eh, I think you should put up some links to wowinsider and wowhead, and then just a bunch of Frostine glamour shots.
Re: Guild's website
See, my reasoning is it's hard to justify using a guild website to put game tips. Other sites dedicated to that (like wowinsider) have that down, they are thorough and up to date in a way a guild website surely won't. So we could link to some favorite sites, maybe that will help the google impaired, I dunno. I'd suggest that anyone not interested enough to hunt out game mechanics on the web on their own doesn't care that much to begin with.
I'm a big proponent of the forum because anyone can easily contribute and add information. It's interactive even if not rigidly structured. If you want to share information about guild members, they can post what they want divulged on a forum. If you want to discuss raid times, again a forum thread is as good as any. Also, the in game calendar is actually useful enough to clue people in on events now.
The static pages are going to quickly succumb to being up to date one week, and then 2 months later will be advertising raid times from...2 months ago. I see this over and over. You have to have someone really interested in keeping it current.
So make the link to the forum very big and bold.
Other uses for the website
- outline guild philosophy (if any)
- basic rules regarding guild chat/bank/promotions
- screen shots of guild events
- interesting history (if any)
Wouldn't hurt to link to Midnight Run's page and all, they link to us.

Re: Guild's website
Couple things came to mind, if they apply:
Any guidelines on guild membership/ranks
Any loot assignment standards used on guild outings (for the really swanky stuff)
A bit of info on the guild's demographic/play style/origin

Re: Guild's website
Alright so here's the run down:
1. For all level 80's, be.imba is an online audit for your character, with information on gear upgrades, proper enchants for gear, even a scale to where you would perform well based on current gear. Nifty website im sure some of us already knew (thanks Elenn for telling me about it)
http://be.imba.hu/
2. For everyone in general, wowhead, like wowwikki, offers a database for information on pretty much everything in WOW, from quests to recipes for your professions. Again another nifty website to help out when you get stuck or need a little enlightment.
http://www.wowhead.com/
3. Alright, now this website offers a guideline as to improving your dps output for each class and spec (will be honest there is only a link for unholy/blood for the dks, and i believe only affliction/destro for locks) but as I said its a guideline-you can also input your own stats and it customizes what your POTENTIAL dps would be based on those stats.
http://www.maxdps.com/
4. Contrary to the website name, this website is not only for tanks-but all players: there are several videos that demonstrate the various fight sequences in the instances, including raids like OS and Naxx. Of course there are articles and information for current/potential tanks-again very handy.
http://www.tankspot.com/
5. This website I've used before, but for some reason is broken but anyways, this site shows loot lists for dungeons, raids, even quests-according to class and spec. For example you have the option to look up loot for dps warrior or tank warrior. For the lower level characters, you can also trace back and look at loot lists for Burning Crusade.
http://www.wow-loot.com
So there ya go Again, there are many websites out there that you can also use, these are just a list of some of my favorites and ones I frequently use.
Go go comments and questions

Another good resource for gearing up is the "Gear Wishlist" which uses a few different sites rankings to show you where your best upgrades come from for your current spec.

Re: Guild's website
Yeah, this is kind of odd that you cant click on the title "Pictures" and get some sort of view that lets you select what you want to see and makes it fuller size.
Re: Guild's website
I am trying ... its not as easy as it looks >.< I am trying to change the script code of the retarded module so that it grabs the source of the random picture and spits out the link to the folder containing it. >.< ANY pointers will be appreciated!
Re: Guild's website
OK NAGGERS!!! shesh it is working now! me and my buddy played with it yesterday to get it to work... we... err... played with some code a little... nothing major ( hopefully it won't crash) other than that, you can now click on the pictures.
Re: Guild's website
Definitely improvement, though a little odd that you click "next" and it blows up the picture as well.
