10 and 25 man Naxx

As you all know by now, the new raiding instance will be released. Myself and some guildies made it a habit of doing naxx weekly for gear, unfortunatly some people aren't. Some people aren't even getting rid of their crappy lvl 70 gear >.<' so here is the thing:

1)There is a 10 man naxx every Friday at 7:45 server time ( just because 70% of the guild works before that). Also, scimmia will from time to time lead another raid during week days.
2)The 25 man Naxx is being co-runned with disciples of steel and it usually starts at 6:30 on Tuesdays
3)If you sign up for a raid guys, PLEASE be on time!!!! some of you don't even bother to show up ( I understand that RL is more important just if you don't get gear don't come whining to me or any of the officers) I mean by that, if you show up 2 hrs late and think that your spot was being hold for you , think again!
4)There are people in the guild that are always willing to help you out with any runs or instances to get certain gear; if that is the case, tell me or any of the officers and they will arrange for that group to happen. IF NOT!! I will personally go with you to whatever needs to be done.
5)If you are interested in joining the raid groups that we are running tell me or any of the officers.

Oh snap, I didn't get the Valentines "Love Fool" title - which would have been entirely appropriate to my exile on Dark Iron, but alas.

BTW I am about to re-spec to Frost build for Nyctalope because I want to learn how it works and I got the big frowny face from everyone when I temporarily left my Unholy tank spec.

So the 25m Naxx run this week got off on shaky ground.

Tuesday - not enough people online, a 10man was started instead
Wednesday - 25m plowed through spider wing and patchwork
Thursday/Friday - not enough people online, 10man resumed
Saturday - 25m completed plague and all of construct but Thaddius

and the real /facepalm

Sunday - wiped 4 times on Rasuvius. wiped once on Thaddius. dissolved after 2 hr without getting anything done.

Epic fail =( V.sorry, it was mainly my fault... you didn't have your fearless leader with you =(

Things will be different thins week.. you wait and watch >.<

Probably, don't think I can attend this Tuesday - err today. Freezepop are playing a show in Houston. That's pretty rare and I'm going to that.

Watch it be a full clear in 3 hr now.

I talked to Sorrianna about the raid this week, and I was told it was moved to Wednesday. Just a heads up...

25man Naxx with DOS has not begun this week yet. Couldnt get enough peeps so we formed a 10man.

They are hoping to get it going this Saturday the 28th about 6:30 server time.

Sorry about last night. Comcast decided to disable my cable modem while we were pulling Gluth and I couldnt get back online for about 12 hr. Extremely upsetting.

Ok, last msg I got from Sorian over at DOS is they are hoping to run Naxx this Fri/Sat at 7p or so server time.

I sent out invites to I think every 80 in Chronos of member level and up. Not expecting to get an overwhelming reply, but if we can get about 10 of us to participate then DOS will be able to cough up the remaining 15.

Regarding the Chronos 10 man yesterday.

I apologize we only got one boss down. We are going to get more done today.

BAH! Won't be off in time I'm afraid. I'm going to log in when I get home but I don't have high hopes.

You mentioned this last night, and that certainly monkey wrenches things a little. We can pay Ledge to spec back to healing possibly, I just hate sucking more people in to get locked when we didn't do an amazing job last night.

Or maybe not. Couldnt seem to get more than 5 people online between 7-8 server.

Oh well. I just went to bed at a decent hour instead.

Vimala and I did a 10 man with a few members of DoS. We got to sapph then had to call it. I want to try to finish it monday evening if anyone is interested. Thanks!

We have an alternate 10m running with a lot of Chronos that has 2 wings and patch down and we are going to see how much more we can get tonight.

The DOS 25m seems to be stuck on the last few bosses, btw. They spent a very long time on 4H (so long, that our 10m completed two wings in the time they did that one encounter) and then it could not get past Sapph.

I am not one to be too critical of failed boss attempts, because it takes me awhile to really learn some too, especially when I go back and forth between dps or tank. BUT I will say, that if you are not steamrolling the guy, then yeah it would be a good idea if most of the raid would actually put on some frost resist gear. That's what its for.

I noticed the other warlock had some FR gear last night, and I added the chest piece (nicked from the gbank, cough cough) to my own outfit. I had a pretty easy time on that fight as a result. I only died a few times after the tank was down and Sapph began picking us off one by one.

Seriously, being that it's a survival fight and not a DPS race, a couple pieces of FR gear work wonders. I am sold on using resist gear for the first time. Never ran any Molton Core raids back in the day to compare.

Hopefully there will be some use for this gear in future encounters too.

lol so svander was the only one with common sense to listen to me but, yeah any resist gear helps alot (even if it was a green piece believe it or not). It is like defense stuff for tanks ( not being critable and such). The reasoning behind it was, you won't go pvping with your pve gear ( well you could but you will get pwn sauced) same thing with that resist gear

I would like to voice an opinion that was brought to my attention regarding raid times and days. For anyone that is interested in going with the guild to raid or creating guild only raid, need votes on what days and times work for everyone-since some are not able to meet during the weekdays or some can't make it on the weekends. Just as a suggestion-ask at the beginning of the week before the raid resets as to who would be able to make it to these raids if we held them on such and such day...try to get as many guildies involved.

It would be nice to see more people signing up for these raids though and I know some of you already have your groups to run, but it would be nice to get together as a guild to go to places like Naxx even simple things like Obsidian Sanctum. The new raid is about to drop in the next patch soon and would be helpful to see where we stand as a guild, even though we are more casual rather than hardcore raiding.

And on a side note-it's courteous if you are not going to show up for a raid after accepting the invite, to let someone in your raid know you won't be there, so we don't spend so much time sitting around and waiting for you to get online. Or if you're not going to go, simply decline the invite so we can go from there and get people going. Real life happens, we all know that, but as said before-please show up or let someone know if you're not.

I had to cut back a little this week, as I spent the last few doing raids most nights and am just playing less and getting more sleep (also have ukulele committments this Thur/Fri that are going to keep me offline till late).

Next week I'll probably try to get something more organized.

Is anyone even participating in DOS 25's this week?

For the record, DOS mentioned to me that they are going to try to do some of Nax25 on Wed, Fri and Sat. I told him we had a bunch of Chronos runnings 10s on Fri, but still. I created the invite on the calendar just so people know about it.

Don't feel obligated or anything, we are not tied to their runs. If you enjoy the opportunity to do the 25m raid we are invited, but if you've got better options no sweat. They can move slowly, for sure. I've been with them some nights we breeze thru bosses and some nights that seem casebook boneheadedness.

I will probably participate on Wednesday with DOS, and then do the Chronos 10 run.
